South African singer Makhadzi has shared an emotional video showing her recovery after being involved in a car accident on 31 December 2025.
The Limpopo-born star was travelling from Limpopo to Johannesburg when the accident happened. She later confirmed that she was hospitalised and suffered injuries that required medical treatment and rehabilitation.
In the video posted on social media, Makhadzi is seen undergoing physiotherapy and documenting her healing process.
She also shared music recorded during her recovery, saying it reflects her pain, strength and gratitude for life.

Doctors have advised that Makhadzi will need around 10 weeks of home care before she can return to performing on stage. She has since been discharged from hospital and is recovering at home.
Despite the setback, the singer reassured fans that she remains positive and focused on healing. Messages of support have poured in from fans and fellow artists across the country, praising her strength and resilience.
