Lady Du Launches Wine Brand “Sip of Piano” as New Business Venture

South African musician and entrepreneur Lady Du has launched her own wine brand called Sip of Piano.

The amapiano star said she does not drink alcohol herself, but she chose to enter the wine industry as a business strategy and a way to build a lasting legacy. Lady Du said she has seen how people enjoy alcohol and believes the wine market has room for growth.

She added that she wants to create businesses that help secure her financial future and create everyday income outside of music.

This new wine venture is Lady Du’s third business project. In recent years she has also launched a beauty salon and published a book focused on business and leveraging fame.

She said her motivation comes from a belief that “money can make money” and that income from music alone is not always stable.

Lady Du also said the loss of her father in April 2025 shaped her thinking about legacy and business. She wants to build tangible ventures that last beyond her music career, including properties, salons, books and now wine.
