Four Suspects Arrested in Murder of Braam Kruger

Four suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder of well-known emergency response figure Braam Kruger, who was found dead at a guesthouse in Brooklyn, Pretoria.

Kruger, a former paramedic and healthcare executive, was discovered by staff the morning after he had checked in with a group of men. Reports indicate that six men had booked multiple rooms and paid in cash before the incident.

According to police, the group later left the guesthouse, allegedly saying they were going to buy food, but Kruger was left behind.

The following morning, cleaning staff made a gruesome discovery. Kruger was found tied up inside one of the rooms, with clear signs of a struggle. He was declared dead at the scene. The motive for the killing is still unknown.

Kruger was widely respected in emergency services and had previously worked as a paramedic with Emer-G-Med before moving into a senior role at a healthcare company.

Colleagues and community members have described him as dedicated, compassionate, and committed to saving lives.

Police have confirmed that a coordinated operation tracked suspects across provinces before leading to arrests in Soweto. Items including cellphones, bank cards, and clothing believed to be linked to the crime were seized.

A manhunt is still underway for a fifth suspect as investigations continue.
