Man Charged with Wife’s Murder After Body Found in Bag in Secunda

A 44-year-old man, Werner Muller, has been formally charged with the murder of his wife, Rene Muller, in Secunda, Mpumalanga.
The couple was reported missing after family members were unable to contact them.
Police later forced entry into a locked outside room at their home, where Rene’s body was discovered inside a bag. She had sustained multiple stab wounds, and a knife was recovered at the scene.
Authorities allege that Muller fled the country in a white Toyota Hilux following the incident.
He was tracked down and arrested in Mozambique before being extradited back to South Africa.
The couple had reportedly been married for just two months.
