A small section of the ceiling at Northgate Mall partially collapsed on 28 December 2025.
The incident happened in an indoor area of the mall. No one was injured, and shoppers nearby were quickly moved to safety. Security and mall staff responded immediately, cordoning off the affected area to prevent anyone from entering.

Northgate Mall management confirmed the partial collapse and said they are working with structural engineers and safety officials to investigate what caused the ceiling to give way.
They also said that other areas of the mall are safe and open for business.
Emergency services were on the scene to assess the situation. Mall officials have promised to share more information once the investigation is complete.
