ANC Secretary General Fikile Mbalula addressed criticisms regarding the Government of National Unity (GNU) and tensions with coalition partner, the Democratic Alliance (DA).
Mbalula assured supporters that the ANC’s leadership, despite lacking a full majority, remains steadfast and won’t succumb to pressure from the DA, which he described as “disrespectful towards the ANC.”
Mbalula also reaffirmed his confidence in President Cyril Ramaphosa’s leadership and loyalty, dismissing rumors about agreements linked to Ukraine.
“Cyril Ramaphosa will never sell us out,” he stated, adding that, despite concerns from some ANC members, he is confident in Ramaphosa’s commitment to the party’s values.
