WATCH: Four Killed in Deadly Taxi Rank Shooting in Philippi

Residents and commuters in Browns Farm, Philippi, were left shocked after gunmen opened fire at a taxi rank, killing four people and critically injuring two others.
The shooting took place on Tuesday morning at the eKoneni Taxi Rank in Siyahlala along Sheffield Road.
According to police, unknown suspects opened fire on a group of people gathered at the rank before fleeing the scene. Four men died from their injuries, while two others were rushed to hospital in critical condition.
The brazen attack caused panic among commuters, with many running for cover as shots rang out through the busy transport hub.
While the motive remains under investigation, authorities believe the shooting may be linked to the taxi industry. Detectives attached to the Provincial Taxi Violence Unit are pursuing leads as efforts continue to identify those responsible.
Police have appealed to anyone with information to come forward.
