Family Claims Man Was Mistaken for Foreign National Before Killing

Mother Seeks Justice After Son Killed During Mossel Bay Unrest!

A grieving mother is seeking justice after her son was allegedly killed during recent unrest in Mossel Bay.

According to reports, the family believes the victim was attacked after being mistaken for a foreign national amid tensions that erupted in parts of KwaNonqaba and Asla Park.

The violence, which authorities say was linked to tensions surrounding foreign nationals and undocumented migrants, resulted in deaths, homes being torched, and hundreds of people being displaced.

The victim’s mother has appealed for those responsible to be held accountable, saying her son was a South African and should never have lost his life in such circumstances.

Police have opened murder investigations into the deaths reported during the unrest, while no arrests had been announced at the time of reporting.
