A 44-year-old foreign national was arrested in Umbilo on Monday, 19 August, for allegedly dealing in drugs.
Acting on intelligence, police conducted a search and seizure operation at a flat on Melbourne Road. Upon entering the premises, officers discovered a significant quantity of heroin powder and rock cocaine.
The recovered drugs are estimated to have a street value of just over half a million rand.
The suspect is scheduled to appear in the Durban Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, 20 August, to face charges of dealing in drugs.
