Zondo Questions Zuma’s Release, Commends Judiciary’s Stand on Nkandla Judgment

Former Chief Justice Raymond Zondo has openly questioned the release of former President Jacob Zuma from prison, citing concerns over alleged irregularities.

Zondo praised the judiciary for initially upholding the rule of law by sentencing Zuma and for its landmark ruling in the Nkandla matter.

He emphasized that the judiciary acted correctly when it declared Zuma’s release from prison as unlawful, reinforcing the principle that no individual is above the law.
