Actor Who Was Once Cancelled Lands A New Gig

Popular South African actor Kininonke Shandu, known for his role on Umkhokha: The Curse, has landed an endorsement deal with the renowned shoe brand Omega.

Shandu follows in the footsteps of rapper Sjava, who recently collaborated with Omega in July.

Chosen from a pool of high-profile celebrities, Shandu stood out due to his cultural authenticity, which aligns with Omega’s brand values.

An insider revealed that Shandu’s connection to his roots made him the perfect fit, even amid past controversies.

Omega’s brand manager, Mlindelwa Ndlovu, withheld comment, stating an official announcement would come soon. Shandu also remained tight-lipped, hinting only at “something exciting” to come.

Last year, Shandu faced backlash and lost sponsorships after a controversial social media post about single mothers. He has since deleted the post and issued an apology.
