ZCC Mourns Members Killed by Lightning in Senwabarwana

Three members of the Zion Christian Church (ZCC) have died after being struck by lightning during a night prayer service in Senwabarwana, Limpopo.

The incident occurred on Saturday, 13 December, when a storm hit while congregants were gathered for prayer.

ZCC spokesman Moatshe Ngoepe confirmed the deaths and said five other members were injured in the strike.

The church is providing pastoral care, counselling, and support to the affected families and congregation during this difficult time.

The three deceased were laid to rest on Saturday, 20 December. Ngoepe described the tragedy as a reminder of life’s fragility and emphasised the importance of unity and support within the church community.
