21-year-old education student Onalenna Selebogo was tragically found stabbed to death in her Rustenburg flat on 3 August, amid Women’s Month.
Police allege her boyfriend, Walter Tshehla (28), surrendered and appeared in court for murder charges.
Onalenna, a standout student, earned five distinctions and was due to graduate next year.
Her grandmother urged young women to avoid abusive relationships, highlighting the stark dangers of domestic violence.
NWU has expressed deep sorrow over the loss, calling for stronger action against gender-based violence as the family seeks justice.
