SANDF Arrests Over 1,100 Undocumented Migrants at SA Border

Members of the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) have intercepted and arrested 1,174 undocumented persons from Zimbabwe who were attempting to enter South Africa through illegal border crossings.
The arrests were made over the past week as part of ongoing border protection operations during the festive season.
According to the SANDF, this is the first time such a large number of undocumented migrants has been intercepted during this period.

Officials said the group was attempting to cross into South Africa using unlawful entry points along the border. The individuals were processed in line with immigration laws and handed over to the relevant authorities.
The SANDF has warned that border security operations will continue and that illegal crossings will not be tolerated.
