Who Killed DJ Warras? Victor Majola Appears in Court for His Murder

The man accused of killing popular DJ and businessman Warrick “DJ Warras” Stock has appeared in court.

Victor Majola, 44, appeared in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on 24 December 2025, facing charges of premeditated murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

DJ Warras was shot and killed earlier this month in the Johannesburg CBD. At the time of the shooting, he was working on a security operation linked to a hijacked building. He was ambushed outside the building and shot multiple times in the upper body.

Police arrested Majola following an investigation that led officers to a hostel in Soweto.

A female suspect who was initially arrested alongside him has since been released after the State withdrew the case due to lack of evidence.

During the court appearance, the State opposed bail, arguing that the charges are serious and that the investigation is still ongoing. The magistrate ordered Majola to properly identify himself in court before postponing the case.

The matter has been postponed to 6 January 2026, when Majola is expected to formally apply for bail.

Police have confirmed that investigations into the murder of DJ Warras are continuing and that more suspects may still be arrested.
