Ukraine’s Zelensky Visits South Africa to Boost Peace and Trade

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky visited South Africa on April 24 to meet President Cyril Ramaphosa and other African leaders.
The goal: push for peace in Ukraine and strengthen diplomatic ties.
Zelensky urged South Africa to join efforts to return Ukrainian children abducted by Russia and highlighted plans to expand cultural and educational cooperation.
Despite its close ties with Russia, South Africa—now chairing the G20—remains officially neutral in the war.
