Nineteen suspects have been apprehended following a truck hijacking on the N12 in Klipriver, south of Johannesburg.
The group was discovered in possession of hijacked stock valued at R1 million, along with two trailers, three luxury vehicles, and counterfeit number plates.
A joint operation by police and private security teams led to raids on properties in Krugersdorp, resulting in the discovery of multiple cellphones, a firearm, and ammunition.
Additional suspects were arrested in Honeydew. Authorities are probing the gang’s potential links to other truck hijackings. – eNCA
